As 2026 approaches, we know that property owners and operators are already envisioning the opportunities the year ahead will bring. We’re right there with you! After celebrating 50 years of innovation in 2025, WorldVue is looking ahead to what the next fifty will bring. The hospitality and multifamily industries are evolving quickly, and our commitment remains the same: helping you deliver seamless, connected experiences for guests and residents.
As Chris Guthery, SVP of Sales & Product at WorldVue, recently told the Modern Hotelier podcast, “We are constantly looking at the market, seeing new technologies that are emerging, and we’re really not chasing trends, right? What we’re trying to do is leverage the expertise that we have to fit technologies and solutions in place that enhance the guest experience, and also, if possible, enhance the operational efficiency of a property itself. We need to make sure that it’s flexible for different environments, but also serves a purpose not just for the guest, but also for the property.”
Based on what we see for the future of property technology, we’re investing in developing new tools and enhancements to give you greater control, visibility, and flexibility in your operations. Here’s a look at some of what’s coming and how each update supports a smarter, more connected property that meets the expectations of guests and residents.
HUBCAP: A Unified Foundation for the On-Property Experience
As we look to the future, we’re not only focusing on customer-facing products; we’re also working on technology that will run behind the scenes to improve performance.
Hardware-Universal Bridge for Connected Application Protocols, or “HUBCAP,” is a key technology layer that powers the connected guest and resident experience. This platform brings all your digital touchpoints together, from in-room smart TVs to mobile apps and IoT devices, ensuring every interaction feels consistent and responsive.
HUBCAP delivers:
- Unified management across all systems and devices on property.
- Easier rollout of new features and integrations across rooms, amenities, and shared spaces.
- Stronger performance through centralized orchestration and deployment.
- A consistent, personalized guest and resident experience across all touchpoints.
HUBCAP removes barriers between systems, transforming the experience from friction to flow. It ensures that your property’s technology works together, not in silos, so residents and guests enjoy a smoother, more reliable experience.

IoT Controls: Smarter, More Personalized Comfort and Efficiency
The demand for connected environments is growing fast. According to Hotel Technology News, IoT solutions are already helping properties save energy and improve guest and resident satisfaction. WorldVue is expanding IoT integration to give guests and residents control of their environment through WorldVue HUB® or the associated Compass by WorldVue™ app.
With IoT controls, users can manage temperature, humidity, and lighting directly from the TV or mobile app. Property managers gain data-driven insights into energy efficiency and system performance. Properties also benefit from energy savings – for example, with automatic temperature adjustments when a guest checks out, or closing shades automatically. Residents and guests enjoy comfort that adapts to their personal preferences.
This integration brings smart control to the platforms you already use, keeping your ecosystem unified and intuitive.
Tablet-Based App: Extending the Entertainment HUB Experience
We are seeing demand for a tablet-based app that connects directly with WorldVue HUB. We’re currently gathering feedback from the industry to plan for this app to support guests, residents, and staff:
- Guests and residents would get the same intuitive interface they already use on the in-room TV or app, with additional features available for in-room tablets.
- Staff would gain tools to monitor equipment status and resolve issues faster, all from a mobile device.
Although our tablet-based application is still on the horizon, we’re planning for it to become another step toward a fully connected property where everyone from maintenance to management can work smarter and respond faster, and where guests and residents receive the connected experience they prefer.
Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond
These innovations are just the beginning; look for more announcements throughout the year highlighting improvements to your WorldVue technology ecosystem. Each enhancement brings new transparency, flexibility, and performance to your operations.
Reflecting our mission to be “of service” in empowering every guest-centric property in the world with technology, WorldVue will continue expanding the capabilities of our platforms to deliver even better insight, integration, and opportunity for our customers.
We’ve spent five decades building solutions that help properties connect, communicate, and evolve. Now, we’re bringing that experience into the future, one upgrade at a time.
